"Slice" is a popular, neighbourhood restaurant serving Italian "street" food. The premises are located on a busy street in London.
Dominic, the owner, wanted a way of displaying the food whilst also being able to serve take-away food directly to passers by.
For those who preferred to eat inside the restaurant, he was keen to retain the ambience he had created and that the restaurant was renowned for.
We designed a frontage that was in keeping with the atmosphere and style of the restaurant, yet ingeniously came apart to open out to the street completely in the summer months.
In the winter a large glazed panel opened up to form a small canopy for passing trade.
