This MP's London home had a tiny L-shaped kitchen with a very small light well. They wanted increase the size of the kitchen without loosing light or outdoor space.
Our solution was to provide a sandblasted glazed roof, which gave plenty of light and feeling of space to the kitchen and dining room, whilst being structurally sufficient to use as a roof terrace above.
A central column with cantilevering hob and breakfast bar successfully disguised the structural column and soil pipe. The kitchen was custom designed to make best use of the space, whilst the bedrooms were modified and updated to maximize the space, thereby successfully converting this pied de terre into a family home.
